Castles of Luxembourg: Esch-sur-Sûre

The final castle on our mini-tour!
F) Esch-sur-Sûre
The Luxembourgish countryside often reminds us of Oregon.  Pete couldn't resist taking a driving-break to dip his feet in this Oregon-esque riverbed, which inevitably led to some rock-skipping demonstrations as well.
Ahh
And, we finally made it to Esch-sur-Sûre.
the sun was beginning to set on this lovely little village
I obviously did not take this picture, but I had to show you the setting:
we didn't walk up to the tiny castle ruin this time, but we walked the small loop around the village - photo credit here
more rock-skipping

climbing up to the ruin next time and then back down for un café and rock-skipping sounds like a fun day-trip in the Ts' book!
And that completes our little 5-castle tour!  We're looking forward to exploring some of these in more depth, as well as discovering others.  Little ol' Luxembourg has its charms, eh?
