Pumpkin Patch 2010

Daphne had a preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch, and since Pete was able to go, we made it our family pumpkin outing. As I'm looking through the pictures, I'm remembering why I've been avoiding posting these -- We just weren't very "on" as a photogenic family that day.

Like this one could have been decent if we could see Pete...

The kids mostly looked liked they were just humoring us....

I could do a whole blog on the uncooperative picture subject James is turning out to be...

Just not quite what we were going for...
Depression takes over...
Underwhelmed by potatoes...
We'll try to be more on our game next year. You can't win 'em all.

Here's one redeeming shot of Daphne and her two teachers.

James' 3rd Birthday

We had a nice little gathering to celebrate our James this evening. I hope these pictures convey his special little personality to you. Love that guy.

His grandmas :)

Happy Birthday, Dear James.

James Joins Joy Choir

Spot the new face this year?

James is too young for Joy Choir at our church by over a year. But he goes to all the practices with Daphne, so he knows all the songs just about as well as the 4 and 5 year olds. Well, for some reason that seems out of character for our normally shy and quiet little guy, he really wanted to get up there today and do it. My theory is that he's probably just taking his current big-sister-worship to the next logical step. Pete thinks it might be because no one made or told him to do it. I guess that makes sense too. Or maybe he just really likes to sing!

Anyway, how could anyone say no? So James joined Joy Choir this morning. Sure, there were a few hitches (mostly on Daphne's end, actually), but he did really well! Actually, all the choirs (4 youth choirs and 1 adult choir) sang together today. We were down in the front row (naturally) and you can't even see the adult choir in the back from there.

Practicing before the service...
And, once the service started...
Pretty much the pinnacle of cuteness, if I do say so myself. Those two NEVER hold hands.

James still DID NOT want the camera in his face.
