Returning to the "Forest"

This week I got to see where the kids went on their school field trip to the forest back in July, when a friend from church invited us on an outing to the Bambesch Woods.

Indeed, there was a large forest with what looked like some lovely hiking trails, plus a restaurant and sports complex.  And of course, the playground.

I think it would be nice to go back sometime with the whole family and actually hike.  I almost wonder if the annual school trip to the forest started out including a nature walk, but over the years they realized it was easier to just let the kids play all day.
